profile

The group was formed in 2009 by 5 young musicians led by Ei Wada who recruited 4 friends (Kimitoshi Sato, Takumi Namba, Haruka Yoshida, and Masaru Yoshida) from university for his project. This project's stand-out feature is its signature instrument: old rolls of magnetic tape that the group's members connect to computers from the latest generation, creating unprecedented melodies, tones and sounds and providing a live show that defies any possible comparison with anything else you have ever seen on a stage. Their music has featured on "Space Balloon Project" (NTT Docomo's smart phone, "GALAXY S SC-02B") and won the grand prize for Entertainment Division of the 15th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2011. They have released their first musical work "Tape to Tape" on open reel tape format as limited edition, in October 2011. Their live show has been highly acclaimed and they have been featured on Sonar Tokyo, Sense of Wonder, KAIKOO, BOYCOTT RHYTHM MACHINE, SONAR 2011 Barcelona, and ARS ELECTRONICA(in Linz of Austria) in the past.
