Drummer Yuko Araki has participated in recording sessions and live concerts together with multiple artists, including CORNELIUS, salyu, Kururi, Kyoko, Shikao Suga, Sukima Switch, COIL, Tomoyasu Hotei, and Yoko Ono. She took her sense of music to a more personal and deeper level to create her solo project "mi-gu." On April 16, 2003, she simultaneously released her first album "migu" in Europe and Japan. The album was well received both in Japan and abroad.
Yuko Araki released her long awaited second album "From space" on September 6, 2006.
Her anticipated third album "Pulling from above" is set to be released on May 6, 2009 through commmons, headed by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
She has also had several collaborations with international artists lately. She's worked with Mike Watt and his band Brother's Sister's Daughter, and she is a member of Yuka Honda and Petra Haden's band If By Yes.
She will continue to be the center of attention in her promising career as a drummer and artist.
