Since I was an elementary school student, I grew up listening to the middle of Western music such as The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Bon Jovi with the influence of my father and older brother, and I woke up to rock with the aerosmith as a junior high school student. I think I spent my adolescent time mainly listening to UK rock.

The moment I listened to the primal scream as recommended by a person, I was shocked and only listened to biased genres.
But after all, I like works that are packed with highly focused performances. I'm always looking for a tense performance, a song, or even a moment in the song. When I think so, I still love rock.

Basically, I listen to music while traveling by car, but lately, I make music at home every day, so I listen to Frank Sinatra while it makes sense to rest my mind after work. I can sleep well (laughs).

  • Product name

    Vanishing Point / Primal Scream

Rock can only be done with live sounds and band performances.
That was a work that dispelled my biased thoughts when I was 18-9 at the time.
psychedelic. Dub. I still remember that break beats were heavily used, rock swallowed various genres, and the songs that were fused were all fresh, and my eyes felt out of scale.

Deja Vu / Crosby Stills Nash & Young

    Just universal.
I listened to it a lot when I came to Tokyo.
Especially "Our House" is one of the best songs.
A miracle album made by these four people.
In a sense, I'm more than a Beatles individual.

    XO / Elliott Smith

It's one piece that made me cry many times for the good melody.
I always try to make a song that surpasses him, but it has not come true. It won't come true in the future.
I'm sorry that I can't hear his voice anymore.

    SelmaSongs / Bjork

You know, the soundtrack of the movie "Dancer in the Dark".
In contrast to the surreal movies, the work feels very warm.
I like Björk's music because it gives me a great view of the scene.
Collaboration with Tom York is also great.
