Ryuichi Sakamoto 's latest work is a collaborative charity single with a group of four Okinawan folk women, "Unagigumi."
The original song "undercooled" was recorded on Ryuichi Sakamoto 's album "CHASM" released in 2004.
Several years ago, Sasamoto asked Sakamoto to say "I want to sing with Okinawan lyrics" from Misako Kozo, an old music companion, and Unagigumi side, and started recording songs and sanshin from last year. It was finally completed this summer after being interrupted by Sakamoto's illness.

The original "undercooled" is a title that means "I am not cool enough" because of the September 11th terrorist attacks in the United States, the Iraq war that followed and the conflict over the world. It looks like it's warm. Let's be more calm." Ryuichi Sakamoto who is very concerned about the base problem in Okinawa, wants to realize a peaceful Okinawa, a peaceful Japan, and a world without war, which is gentle and strong, and is strong with music and songs. I made this work.

The title, "Miruku Seikagyo," means "an ideal peaceful and affluent world brought about by the Maitreya God" in ancient Okinawan beliefs. The content of Okinawan lyrics is praise of nature ~ pathetic of war ~ singing wishes to the Maitreya Yugafu. Uinagumi was formed in 2014 by Misako Kozo who also participated in projects such as Ryuichi Sakamoto 's albums "NEO GEO" and "BEAUTY", the world tour that was performed when each album was released, and "Opera LIFE". Emiko Shimabukuro has joined Namiko Miyazato and Yukino Hiyoko. The Okinawan folk song method of four people, who has a long-standing career, is a calm and quiet singing that is warm but not overly emotional. This time, Sakamoto has made arrangements that make the most of the power of the song. At the same time, the sound image with a cosmic expanse that appears after the interlude in the second half gives the impression of a scale that looks like a bird's eye view of the earth.

This song belongs to the shortest category in the history of music, in which the size of the song is only 5 measures, and it is composed of simple and magical melodies up to the number 12.
Even though it is a cover song, it has a natural sound as if it was made as an Okinawan folk song from the beginning.

In the interlude, UA and his children participated in a tweet. He talked cutely about the story of man and the universe.

All proceeds from the sales of this song, excluding label-side fees and expenses, will be donated to the Henoko Foundation.

The paintings used in the artwork of this work were provided by Okinawan artist Cocco in agreement with the main idea.

*Henoko Foundation: Support from both physical and mental sides to oppose the construction of the new Henoko base and withdraw from the Osprey deployment required in the White Paper, close/remove Futenma base, and move to abandon the relocation within the prefecture. And to open up the future of Okinawa.
