Encore press of Ryuichi Sakamoto 's "async" and "ASYNC - REMODELS" decided

As the first in a series of "commmons: Vinyl Collection" in which encore presses of past works and first analog versions will be released, we have decided to release encore presses of Ryuichi Sakamoto 's ``async'' and ``ASYNC - REMODELS.''

The "async" analog version is Ryuichi Sakamoto 's original solo album that was released in 2017 and sold out. ``I love it so much that I don't want anyone to hear it,'' Ryuichi Sakamoto himself said before its release. This is an ambitious work that broke new ground after more than a year of medical treatment, and concerts featuring sounds from this album have been held multiple times overseas. While their previous album ``Out of Noise'' was an organic sound piece, here they make heavy use of analog synthesizers, including vintage ones. One of the initial ideas for the production was the soundtrack of a fictitious Tarkovsky film, and each song strongly evokes a different visual image in the listener. In fact, after the album was released, this work and its songs were made into a video and presented as an installation by Shiro Takatani, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Zakkubalan, and others. Includes "andata", a new signature song that has always been played at concerts in recent years. It also became a hot topic that ``Fullmoon'' featured readings by Paul Bowles from the movie ``The Sheltering Sky,'' and David Sylvian's readings for ``Life, Life.''

"ASYNC - REMODELS" is a compilation of remodels (remixes) of songs from the album "async" released in 2017. In addition to Ryuichi Sakamoto 's long-time collaborators Alva Noto, Christian Fennesz, and Cornelius, creators such as ARCA and Oneohtrix Point Never will be meeting for the first time, as well as Johann from the world of classical and contemporary music. There was a rich variety of members, including Johansson. It is also interesting to listen to and compare works that have been remixed by multiple creators, such as `` andata,'' ``solari,'' and ``fullmoon.'' Only on the Japanese version, a remodeled version of ``ZURE'' by Kukan Gendai, a band that was gaining popularity as a cutting-edge band at the time, was additionally included.
